Being able to walk and set up and represent Team Tyler for my 6th year was amazing! I love being able to share Tylers story and support an amazing organization. #WhenWeWalkCancerRuns
Light the night is something that I hold near and dear to my heart! being able to go to the Light the Night in Savannah and helping to raise money for their event was so amazing. Walking in support and in remembrance is something I look forward to every year and was very happy to experience one outside of Jacksonville.
Theta was able to send out volunteers to the Catty Shack here in Jacksonville for their annual, haunted forest tour and I was able to attend! It was a Spooky time filled with screams and laughter, going to a great cause, raising money for the Cats.
I was ran and tracked the Team Tyler spirit night, making sure that marketing was handled and monetary donations were monitored. It is important to make sure to have someone at the event to track the transactions and to hold venues responsible so I did that again this year.
I loved being able to dress up and throw a fun event for the kids. Being able to offer such a fun and exciting event for kids that go through so much in their short young lives is a blessing.
Had the chance to help table and market for Circle of Sisterhood! The carnival was a blast and the people that came out to support loved their time there! It was fun being able to do games for kids and tying our prices in with fun educational facts!
I worked with several organizations to get information on their volunteer programs for a event that we held on campus. I made a lot of marketing material and sign up sheets on my own time to help this event reach a new height.
I like learning about this great resource that we have here in Jacksonville and learning more about the foster care system here in Jacksonville. It was weird knowing that I have lived here my entire life and have never seen or been to this place before!
I have worked with many organizations to help gather clothing and supplies for the homeless and this time was definitely eye opening. I really wanted to help hand out all the clothes that I gathered but was informed that unless there are a very large amount of clothes that is not a good idea. At first I did not understand why but then it was explained the me that, because they do not have a lot they are desperate and that can sometimes lead to larger issues.
I did a dog food drive with the animal shelter by my house. Kaitlyn knows that I was there because I am not sure who I would contact since it was just like a show up and help type thing. The little lady that I used to work with is no longer there and I have not been able to go back to meet the new head of Volunteers.
